This rusty bucket of bolts was purchased back in 2007, and i'm pleased to say after countless hours and $ the restoration is finally approaching the home straight. It is a Devon Caravette and still has the majority of it's original oak interior. The missing pieces have been aquired over the last 4 years via the U.K., (including a very tasty Blaupunkt FM radio - thanks Craig!) It's currently in the paint shop and should be outa there in the next month or two, in it's original colours Sea Blue/Blue White... Here's a breif look at the journey so far......

Great the seats get the seal of approval, i got the salt n' pepper TMI covers along with all the door cards -  as per the original microbus look. Not cheap but excellent quality and should last another 45 years....

This is the Blaupunkt Frankfurt 6V/12V FM radio Craig carried back in his baggage from the UK. Super sexy i reckon...and made for a split bus dash, just need to find a vintage speaker to get it cranking........

Things are progressing slowly...it's now in the final primer and just needs sand/paint...the inside is being done first. I've been going down on a few Saturdays sanding the spritzer and primer on the bits no one will see like inside doors etc. The painter won't let me do any of the panels but that's ok it just means he's fussy!

Did a bit of rubbing down yesterday... they have a 66 in at the same shop just came back from the painters. It's a UK "restoration" that needed a lot of tidying up, apparently it was originally a German army bus...There is also a sad looking Bay window there that has been hacked and butchered by a so-called VW restoration specialist:(

Well the painter turned out to be a bull-shitting conman, however he did some good work. It moved onto a "professional" to finish and it's now painted. I've waitied 5 years to see that paint on! Will get some photo's up soon....
